Haha – that happens all the time at my office.
Although at first when I saw the heading I was thinking that this was gonna be about conducting team meetings with everyone standing up – then meetings will go from over an hour to under 20 minutes.
We do this type of meeting all the time. Our office does this to keep everyone informed about what is going on with a project and to solicit imput from the other architects and junior members. I learn a great deal from them and it helps all the projects regardless of their development status in the firm.
I had this problem for a long time. The only way I got it to stop was to start leaving my office once the conversation (A.K.A. 20 minute conversation about a project I have not, and never will work on) started.
