Architecture schools still send their students to study in cities like Rome and Paris, which is completely useless because almost none of these schools teach traditional architecture, which is exactly what those cities can teach you about. As soon as architects start learning from great places again, then they should be allowed to travel to them.
Dubai, North America, Canada, I’ve been all over and I know others that have been to India, Europe, South America; just need to work for the “right” firm(s)
Miami/Germany/London/Scotland/Singapore/Jamaica/Bequia… and more.
But Maverick I get your point – we’re tethered to projects that take years to complete, forcing us to stay in one place for extended periods of time… augh
