    Ugh, the offices I’ve worked for with alarm systems have had complex codes- everyone had an individual code so they could track who was there.

    Not necessarily so. We each have a 4 digit code (last 4 of ssn or something similar) and even a guest code. Part of it is tracking part of it has to do with the owners giving the previous master code out to every body. And it’s much easier to remember my own code.

    Code? Your offices have have Alarm systems? My old office left the key on top of the door frame…

    Keys, door frames? You were lucky, my old office was in a shoe box in the middle of the road.

    My office IS a shoebox in the middle of a road – AND the key is on top of the doorframe.

    Cardboard box? You were lucky, we worked for three month in a paper bag in a septic tank. Fourteen hours a day for sixpence a week.

    We use keycards here and people can still bungle the process up.
