    I never understood firms that neglected performance reviews. Why would you not want the chance to not only thank your team for the good work they do, but also help them improve in areas that are needed? Are folks afraid of hurt feelings?

    The only thing I hated about my reviews was the whole “have you finished your exams yet?” talk which only resulted in me getting my license and moving on to greener pastures. Probably shouldn’t and pushed that so hard.

    I dunno, some firms I worked at only did performance reviews for people they were looking at letting go. Unfortunately, I have more or less adopted the same attitude…. now, where is my damn intern?
