    It would be too obvious to have either party ask, inquire or mention a rough appropiate amount for the meal.

    Well if the owner thinks it was “too expensive”…..then you may be overdoing it, all things considered.

    A good office policy would alleviate that problem. Luckily our clients are public clients and they aren’t allowed to have meals paid for by us, therefore very few lunch meetings.
